Federal Govt has decided a new Federal Housing Scheme for the lower grade employees. There will be 1500 Flats in Karachi, 1800 Flats in Lahore, 700 Flats in Islamabad, 500 Flats in Quetta and 500 Flats in Peshawar. The proper announcement of this scheme will be made by the PM during the month of Feb 2013. This plan will be finalized in 5 years. The employees of BPS-01 to 16 can avail the facility of flats. Every residential building will be 10 storied.

This plan will be initiated in March 2013 after the approval of Federal Cabinet and the scheme will be finalized in 2017. In the 1^st step of this plan in Karachi 300 Flats, Lahore & Islamabad 200 each, Peshawar & Quetta 150 Flats each will be constructed.  In these flats all the residential facilities will be available for the employees.
