Removal of Condition of Qualifying GAT/GRE (Subject) Test Prior to Admission in MS/M.Phil & Ph.D Programmes

University of the Punjab, Quaid-e-Azam Campus has issued letter No. D/2275-Acad dated 16th May 2014 in connection with Removal of Condition of Qualifying GAT/GRE (Subject) Test Prior to Admission in MS/M.Phil & Ph.D Programmes. It is to mention here that the Lahore High Court has already issued its judgment regarding GAT.

In the meeting of Deans of Faculties/Heads of teaching departments held on 02-05-2014, it is unanimously decided to remove the condition of GAT/GRE test conducted by NTS for admission to M.Phil/MS and Ph.D with effect from the academic session 2014.

All the concerned teaching departments will now held their own entry tests for Ph.D, M.Phil and MS programmes as prescribed in the admission regularization book 2014 of the University of the Punjab.

All the Deans of Faculties/Heads of the University Teaching Departments, University of the Punjab Lahore are requested to comply with the aforesaid decision in letter and spirit.
