The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued its decision on 30-04-2014 regarding Confirmation of NPIW Employees. The detail of the decision is as under: Mr. Abdul Fateh Malik, AG Sindh Alongwith Mr. Sarwar Khan learned Addl AG, when confronted with the clear language of Sindh Act No. XXV of 2013, titled as the Sindh (Regularization of Adhoc and Contract Employees) Act 2013, gazetted on 25-03-2013 candidly states that after this enactment, virtually these appeals on behalf of the Government against the private respondents have become infructutious  as they have been given blanket protection under this act as regards their appointment. The learned Addl AG however submits that there are serious issues as regards performance and eligibility of some of the respondents, therefore appellants may be permitted to take appropriate action against those respondents. In view of the above these three appeals are disposed off. However it is left open for the appellants to take appropriate action against the respondents, against whom they have reservation about their fitness and eligibility but such exercise should be undertaken strictly in accordance with law.
