Government of the Punjab, Local Government & Community Development Department has issued Notification No. SOR (LG) 38-7/2015 dated 07-01-2016 in connection with Union Councils Marriage Registration Byelaws 2016.

According to this Notification, the undersigned is directed to refer to the subject and to enclose herewith Union Councils’ Nikah/Marriage Registration [Model] Byelaws 2016, duly approved by the Competent Authority to facilitate the general public for registration of Nikah and Marriage in the Union Councils.

It is requested to circulate the model Byelaws in all Union Councils under your respective jurisdiction for adoption and strict compliance with immediate effect under intimation to this Department.
