Government of the Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat Cabinet Division has issued Notification No. 3(32)/T&M/2017-RA-IV dated 02-06-2017 in connection with Provision of Residential Telephone Policy. Detail is as under:
The undersigned is directed to convey the approval of the Prime Minister for monetization of residential telephone charges and its payment as an allowance through salary to all entitled regular employees working in the Ministries/Divisions in BPS-17 – 21 with effect from 01.06.2017 as detailed below:-

- The above facility/monetization is subject to the following conditions:-
- The entitled officers who have been allowed PTCL connection due to Non-availability of NTC connection shall also avail the same facility of Monetization as per their entitlement.
- The facility will be admissible during LPR, however, it will not be paid during the period of EOL (without pay and allowances).
- The facility shall not be admissible in cases where telephone Committee has allowed special permission to the officers working attached departments.
