Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority Islamabad has issued Notification on 06-04-2018 in connection with Advice Broadcasting TV Channels Live Programs. Summary is as under:

It has been observed that News and Current Affairs Satellite TV Channels are airing live speeches, media conferences and media talks of different politicians wherein hate speech and aspersions against the Hon`ble Judiciary & Armed Forces of Pakistan is being transmitted without any editorial. Besides, such instances have also been reported where aspersions against the Hon`ble Judges were aired so much so Hon`ble Judges were called by their names.

It has also noticed that news channels in their news bulletins, current affairs programmes / talk shows repeatedly broadcasting these derogatory speeches, media conferences and media talks of politicians as a reference and comments of the panelist are invited which tantamount to casting aspersions against superior Judiciary & Armed Forces.
