Government of the Punjab Finance Department has issued Notification on 23-05-2018 in connection with Upgradation Conversion Excise & Taxation Inspector from BPS-14 to BPS-16 & BPS-17. Detail is as under:
With the Section Office (ADMN-II), Government of the Punjab, Excise Teacher & Narcotics Control Department. Kindly refer to his letter No. SO(A-II)- ET&NC/3-107/2014 dated 16.05.2018, on the subject noted above?
Finance Department, In relaxation of ban imposed by the Chief Minister Punjab, conveys its concurrence to the following up-gradation / conversion of posts with immediate effect.:-
- All posts of Excise & Taxation Inspector are up-graded from BS-14 to BS-16:
- 50% posts of the total 162 posts of Assistant Excise & Taxation Officer from BS-16 are converted and up-graded to the post of Excise & Taxation Officer (BS-17) and these may be filled in by promotion amongst the Assistant Excise & Taxation Officers on the recommendations of the concerned DPC as per promotion policy: and
- The remaining 50% posts of Assistant Excise & Taxation Officers (81 posts) are declared as dying cadre.
- Audit copy may kindly be got authenticated from the Finance Department accordingly.
