Pakistan Railways Headquarter Office, Lahore has issued Notification on 11-06-2018 in connection with Journey By Train Free of Cost Eid Package for Senior Citizens. Detail is as under:
It is notified for information and guidance of all concerned that senior citizen attaining the age of 65 year and above are allowed to travel free of cost on all train / classes over the system on 1st & 2nd date of Eid-ul-fiter 2018.
The advance reservation, E Ticketing and BPT will be issued on providing the copy of CNIC at reservation offices & booking window at stations and showing original CNIC on traveling in the trains. If original CNIC is not shown in the train during checking then passenger will be charged as without ticket.
Kindly issue instructions to all booking & reservation office to ensure struct compliance accordingly. In case of any discrepancy found later, the concerned station / commercial staff will be held responsible.
