Election Commission of Pakistan has issued Notification on 03-09-2018 in connection with Ban on Transfer Posting Where Bye-Election 2018. Detail is as under:
No.F.8(4)/2018-Cord,- In pursuance of Article 218(3) of the Constitution of Islamic Republic Pakistan read Sub-Section 4 of Section of 5 and Section 181 of the Elections Act, 2017, the Election Commission of Pakistan is hereby pleased to direct that:
- No Government or authority shall post or transfer any office in the districts, where schedule for bye-elections has been issued on 17th August, 2018, till publication of names of returned candidates.
- No Government functionary or elected representative including a local government functionary or elected representative shall announce any development scheme for the constituencies, where bye-election is under process till 14 October, 2018.
