SOPs/Instructions for Using Social Media by Officers/Officials of Special Education for Taking Snaps/Videos

Government of the Punjab, Directorate General of Special Education has issued Notification on 22-09-2018 in connection with SOPs/Instructions for Using Social Media by Officers/Officials of Special Education for Taking Snaps/Videos. Detail is as under:

Please refer to the subject noted above.

  1. I am directed to inform that Authority has shown grave concern regarding complaints received related to taking snap / video of employees working in special Education Institution, especially female employees and uploading the same on internet through social media.
  2. in the light of position explained above a committee was constructed to prepare SOPs. Instruction for using social media by officers / officials of special Education Department for taking snaps / video of employees working in Special Education instructions especially female staff .The committee has completed its task and submitted SOPs.
  3. The Authority has decided to circulate the same SOPs /instructions for using Social Media by Officers / officers of Special Education Department and for strict compliance and said SOPs / instructions. In case of any validation of the SOPs / Instructions of the department strict disciplinary proceeding against the responsible officers / officers.
