Higher Education Commission has issued Notification on 23-01-2019 in connection with NOC Prior to Launching M.Phil English Linguistics. Detail is as under:

Kindly refer to earlier correspondence on the subject cited above. I am pleased to share that on the basis of information provided by the Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan that MPhil English Linguistics is in line with HEC Minimum Criteria for Admission in MS/MPhil and PhD Program and award of degrees. Therefore, HEC has no objection on start of MPhil English Linguistics w.e.f. Spring 2019 by the Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan.      

It may be re-iterated that, besides other requisites, the minimum requirement to launch and continue conducting an MS/MPhil/MBA/Equivalent program and a PhD program is to have a minimum two and three relevant PhD faculty members, respectively, at all times, However, HELs are requested to have appropriate student-teacher ratio in view of the research thesis supervision.
