Government of Pakistan Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has issued Notification on 10-04-2019 in connection with Posting / Transfer of Officers Being Stay More Than Three Years on Same Post or Division. Detail is as under:

The competent authority (secretary/chairmen Railways) has shown his concern that Rule 1.2 of ESTA ACODE 2015 regarding “Normal Tenure of posting” of officers on the same post over three years in not being followed and has directed that these instructions should be followed in its letter and spirit. It is therefore requested that following action may be taken immediately.

Officers of all disciplines who have completed normal tenure of three years at same post / Division and are still working may be shifted / transferred forthwith.

Officers of all disciplines who have completed five year tenure on different posts in any Division of Pakistan Railways may also be transferred to gain experience of different units / wings / Divisions and offices of PR which is required for their career progression.

A list of officers whose stay is more than three years in Ministry of Railways is also enclosed as Annex-A for further posting on the Divisions as deemed appropriate by the CEO / Sr. General Manager and panel of officers may be provided to this Ministry for selecting suitable officers for posting in this Ministry vice them.
