The Inspector General of Prisons, Punjab Lahore has issued letter on 16-07-2019 in connection with Clarification Allowances Not Admissible with Salary to Family of Deceased Civil Servant. Detail is as under:

Enclosed please find herewith a copy of letter No.SO(R&P)1-1/17 (P-IV) dated 02-07-2019 issued by the Government of the Punjab, Home Department, Lahore alongwith enclosure on the subject noted above wherein Government of the Punjab, Finance Department, Lahore has clarified that “Conveyance Allowance, Washing Allowance and Prison Allowance” would not be paid with the salary to the family of a deceased civil servant.

It is also requested to provide acknowledgment to this inspectorate for disposal.

Summary is that the family of an employee who die while in service of Prison Department is not admissible of the following allowances:

• Conveyance Allowance
• Washing Allowance
• Prison Allowance
