According to Urdu Point Newspaper dated 26th August 2019, the bill of One Year Maternity Leave & 6 Months Paternity Leave has been put forwarded in the Senate Committee. Looking not possible but if so adopted then it will be a great news for the employees.
The same was considered in the meeting of Qaima Committee Khazana chaired by Senator Farooq H Naiq. Sri Lanka Government has adopted the same. You can see the further details at the same news.
