Government of Sindh, School Education & Literacy Department has issued Notification on 15-04-2020 in connection with Holidays Schedule 2020 Sindh, School Timings, Examinations, Admission and Academic Session 2020-21.  The Detail is as under:

With the approval of Competent Authority i. e Minister Education & Literacy, Sindh and in pursuance of decisions of Steering Committee meeting held on 07-03-2020, 11-03-2020 and 16-03-2020 following are hereby notified as under:

Vacation and Holidays Schedule 2020 Sindh

• The summer vacation 2020 will start with effect from 16^th April 2020 to 30^th May 2020.
• Winter Vacation will be observed from 20^th December 2020 to 31^st December 2020.
• Other Holidays may be observed as per schedules.

Other Holiday / Public Holidays are as under:

• Pakistan Day
• Shab-e Baraat Day
• Labour Day
• Youm-e-Ali
• Shab-e-Qadr
• Eid-ul-Fitr
• Eid-ul-Azha
• Independence Day

• Shah Abdul Latif Day
• Chehlum
• Eid Milad un Nabi
• Quaid e Azam Day

Commencement of Academic Session 2020-21

• The academic session for schools for the year 2020-2021 shall start with effect from 1^st June 2020.
• The academic session of Agha Khan Board for the year 2020-2021 shall start from 1^st June 2020.
• Academic sessions of the colleges for the year 2020-21 shall start from 01-06-2020.

Admission Schedule 2020

• The Admission up to class IX shall start from 1^st June 2020 and shall be completed by 10^th June 2020. However, the classes shall start from 01-06-2020.
• The Admission in Class Xi in Higher Secondary Schools shall make provisional in the month of June 2020, on the basis of the result of Class IX and shall confirm as and when the result of Class-X the Board announces.
• Admission in 1st-year class in colleges (According to CAI Policy, in Karachi through the online session by College Examination shall be made provisional in the month of June 2020, on the basis of the result of Class IX and shall confirm on the declaration of X class result when concerned board announces.
• The enrollment of the admission of class XI & XII shall be placed on the website of the college concerned. They will send the same to the office of Secretary, College Education Department within one week.

Examination Schedule and Related Issues for the Year 2020

• The students from class I-III shall have the facility to promote after written examination and evaluation.
• Examination of class IV to VIII shall start from 1^st June 2020 and shall complete before 15^th June 2020. The result shall the authorities will announce on 15^th June 2020.
• Thereby Examination of SSC-I & II (Class IX & X) shall commence from 15^th June 2020 followed by the practical.
• Result of SSC-II (Class-X) shall they announce by 15^th August 2020 by all Board of Sindh.
• The result of the SSC-I (class-IX) board will announce within (60 days)sixty days after the announcement of the result of Class-X.
• Theory Examination of HSC-I & II (class XI-XII) shall commence from 6^th July 2020 followed by the practical. The authorities shall conduct examination conduct in the evening shift.
• The result of HSC-II (Class-XII)  will announce all the Boards of Sindh on 15^th September 2020.
• The Result of Class-XI board will announce within (60 days) sixty days after the announcement of the result of Class-XII.
