Government of the Punjab, law and Parliamentary Affairs Department has issued Notification on 22-04-2020 in connection with Ordinance Pertaining to 20% Concession in Fee Private Schools Punjab. Ordinance Pertaining to 20% Concession in Fee Private Schools
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that the Governor of Punjab is pleased to promulgate and Ordinance pertaining to 20% concession in fee by inserting Section 12(D) after 12(C) in the Punjab Educational Institution (Promotion and Regulation) Ordinance 1984.
The Punjab Private Educational Institutions Ordinance 2020 (Amendment)
An Ordinance to amend the Punjab Private Educational institutions (Promotion and Regulation) Ordinance, 1984.
It is necessary to amend the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) Ordinance, 1984 (IV of 1984) for purposes hereinafter appearing.
Provincial Assembly of Punjab is not in session and Governor of Punjab is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action.
In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (1) of Article 128 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Governor of Punjab is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:
- Short title and commencement. – (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) (Amendment) Ordinance 2020.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Insertion of section 12D in Ordinance
- Insertion of section 12D in Ordinance IV of 1984, – In the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) Ordinance, 1984 (IV of 1984), after section 12C, the following new section 12D shall be inserted:
“12D. Special directives,- The Registering Authority may issue special directives for the closure of schools and for ensuring that students are imparted education through alternative means in special circumstances including but not limited to calamities, epidemics, floods, wars, environmental or natural disasters, or when the Registering Authority deems that Physical presence of students at schools is hazardous for their health, and, the Registering Authority may also issue directions determining the fee to be charged by the schools for the period during which such special directives remain in the field.”.
