Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced for PhD Scholarships for US Universities for fall 2021 & spring 2022 PKC HEC Initiative. The detail of the same is as under:

PhD Scholarships for US Universities for Fall 2021 & Spring 2022

HEC invites applications from outstanding Pakistani/AJK nationals for the award of PhD Scholarships in QS World Ranked US Universities.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Pakistani/AJK nationals.
2. Minimum four-year Bachelor’s Degree {BS/BSc/BE(16 years of formal education)}.
3. Maximum one 2^nd Division and no 3^rd Division in the entire academic career.
4. Maximum age on the closing date shall not exceed:
5. 40 years in the case of regular faculty members of Public Sector Universities/Government Colleges and Researchers of approved/registered R&D Organizations (Born after 10, 1981).
6. 35 years in all other cases on the closing date of the application (Born after January 10, 1986).

Merit Determination Formula:

1. GRE Scores-60% (HEC will give preferences to the higher scores)
2. Those having GRE waived by the host university will be required to appear in the HAT test and get a 60% score in addition to meeting the eligibility criteria of the host university.
3. HEC AEF Formula 30%.
4. Must not be availing any other Scholarship.

Application Submission

2021. The application must be submitted online on the HEC Portal: until January 10, 2021.
2022. The closing date for the scholarship application is January 10, 2021.
