Government of the Punjab, Home Department has issued a Notification on 27-01-2021 in connection with Ban on Kite Flying in Punjab province. The details of the same are as under:
Ban on Kite Flying in Punjab
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that in view of Basant season, the competent authority has desired that the complete Ban on Kite flying throughout the Province shall be vigorously ensured. Further, legal action may also be taken against the manufacturer and sellers of kites under the provisions of “The Punjab Prohibition of Kite Flying, Ordinance 2001”.
- Keeping in view the above, it is requested to comply with the directions of the competent authority in order to avoid any untoward incident, please.
Kite flying is not a bad game but its use may differ from person to person. In the previous years, people adopted its bad procedure and it caused a lot of lives losses. Keeping in view the above situation and behavior of the people Govt banned on it. The people don’t not only their lives but also the lives of the other. In enjoyment, they just cause danger for others. So many people have become invalidated during the process of kite flying.
