Relaxation in Upper Age Limit Punjab upto 15 Years for Disabled

Government of the Punjab, Services and General Administration Department has issued a Notification on 02-02-2021 in connection with Relaxation in Upper Age Limit Punjab upto 15 Years for disabled/special persons.  The details of the age relaxation are as under:

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 (VIII of 1974). Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendment in the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules 1976 with immediate effect.

AMENDMENT

 

In the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit), Rules 1976, in the Rule 3, in clause vi) for the figure “10” the figure “15” shall be substituted.

What is Rule 3, Clause VI?

 

This rule is for the recruitment of disabled persons. The age limit under this rule for the special persons is ten years. Now the Government of Punjab has amended it to fifteen years. The contents of the Rule 3 clause vi are as under:

In the case of a disabled person as defined in rule 2 (iii) above the maximum upper age limit prescribed in the Service/Recruitment Rules, for appointment to a post, shall be raised by 10 years.
