Through the instant petition, petitioners have assailed notices/e-mails, issued by respondent No.1 / Punjab Information Technology Board (“PITB”), whereby petitioners were intimated regarding termination of their contract service on account of expiry of the project of Establishment of e-Libraries in various parts of Punjab.

In view of the above, instant petition, along with connected petitions, is disposed of in the manner that impugned notices/e-mails are set side and matter is remitted to respondent No.1  with direction to look into petitioners’ grievance and redress it strictly in accordance with the law, by treating instant petition as well as connected petitions as representations on behalf of petitioners, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and all concerned, preferably within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. If petitioners’ case is at par with those to whom similar relief has been granted, the same treatment shall also be extended to them as well. Office to transmit a copy of these petitions along with annexures to respondent No. 1 forthwith. Compliance report shall be furnished to this court through Deputy Registrar (Judicial).
