Temporary Blockage of Mobile SIMS of Non-Vaccinated Mobile Users

Government of Sindh, Health Department has issued a Notification on 23-07-2021 in connection with Temporary Blockage of Mobile SIMS of Non-Vaccinated Mobile Users.  Health Department Sindh has sent a letter in this regard to the National Coordinator, National Command & Operation Center (NCOC). The details of the same are as under:

Blockage of Mobile SIMS of Non-Vaccinated Mobile Users Sindh

I direct to refer to the subject noted above and to the decision of the Provincial Corona Task Force. Its meeting was under the Chairmanship of Honourable Chief Minister, Sindh. The date of the same was 23rd July 2021 regarding the blockage of mobile SIMS. These SIMS are to block in the phased manner of those people who did not turn up for vaccination despite all efforts of the Sindh Government through print, electronic and social media. Also after taking all possible measures by Districts administration across the province. They decided that the following phase-wise measures should take for a successful vaccination drive to stop transmission of COVID-19.

Phases to BLock SIMS

  • 1st Phase: A warning for blockage of SIM
  • 2nd Phase: Blockage of Social Media (Facebook, Whatspp etc)
  • 3rd Phase: Blockage of outgoing call
  • 4th Phase: Complete Sim Blockage until vaccinated.

It is therefore requested that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority may be directed to take necessary measures accordingly for a successful vaccination drive to break the Transmission chain of COVID-19.

There is a chance to get vaccinated for all to avoid the blockage of sims. It is the responsibility that all people should get vaccines. This is better for them as well as the society.
