All Public & Private Schools of Punjab to remain closed for winter vacation starting December 23rd, 2021 to January 6th, 2022. Please get vaccinated and follow SOPs issued by the government.

Schedule of Winter Holidays SED

The schedule of winter holidays in SED is as under:

The School Education Department (SED) will soon issue the Notification of the same. There was various news that the winter holidays shifted to January 2021. But the court issued its orders to grant the holidays early with effect from 23-12-2021. And now finally the Government of Punjab announced for winter vacations 2021 as per orders.

Federal Government has decided today to declare the holidays with effect from 3rd January 2022. In this regard, NCOC decision regarding winter holidays, issued on 17-12-2021.

Amendment in Notification and Holidays in two Steps

I have received an amended letter from the SED Punjab regarding the winter holidays in two steps. Media Channels also shared the same news. However, I am confirming the same letter. As soon as I confirm this letter, I shall upload the same here.

Govt of the Punjab SED has issued an amended Notification on 20-12-2021 regarding winter vacations 2021-2022.

It is hereby notified that at Public and Private Schools Educational institutions in the following district of Punjab shall remain closed for winter vacations w.e.f. 23^rd December 2021 to 6^th January 2022.

Furthermore, the view of the instructions of NCOC and ongoing vaccination in schools, all Public and Private Schools/educational institutions in the following districts of Punjab shall remain closed for winter vacation wef 3^rd January 2022 till 13^th January 2022.
