Government of Sindh, Services, General Administration & Coordination Department has issued a Notification on 27-04-2022 in connection with Holiday on 1st May 2022 (Labour Day) Sindh.

The government of Sindh declares 01st May 2022 (Sunday) as a Public Holiday throughout the Province of Sindh on the occasion of Labour Day for all Government of offices, Autonomous, Semi-autonomous bodies, Corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the government of Sindh, expect essential services and the departments and offices engaged in prevention and control of COVID-19 emergency.
Effect of Holiday on 01-5-2022
Thus the workers in the province will have a holiday on 01-05-2022. Generally, the workers have a holiday on Friday but this time they will also get a holiday on Sunday. In the same way some Government offices open on Sunday, they will have also a holiday on Sunday. This holiday the schedule of annual holidays also includes. The government of Pakistan has already issued the Notification of Optional and Public Holidays 2022 in Pakistan for Muslims and minorities. But for the Government employees who have already Sunday as a closed day, this Notification has no effect. This holiday will also add happiness to the labourers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Pakistan Federal Govt announced 4 days Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays 2022. The workers will also enjoy these holidays.
