The University of the Punjab has issued a Notification on 11-05-2022 in connection with Special Allowance 2021 @ 25% Punjab University. The summary is as under:

The Vice-chancellor has been pleased to order that notification No.SO/(Univ)1-8/2018-P dated 10.05.2022 issued by Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab regarding grant of Special Allowance 2021 at the rate of twenty-five percent of initial of Basic Pay Scale, 2017 to the employees of University of the Punjab, Lahore from BS-1 to BS-19 is adopted mutatis mutandis with effect from 10.05.2022.
It is a good step for the University of the Punjab employees. The employees of the UoP will get some relief from this allowance but the employees want to increase salaries in Budget 2022-23 at a large scale. Due to a hike in the rates of daily use items, the employees are forced to get the high rates of salary.
Higher Education Department Notification of Special Allowance 2021
The government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department also issued the Notification of Special Allowance 2021 for the University of the Punjab employees. The University employees have entitled to this allowance with immediate effect.
