Notification of Amendment in Stenographer Service Rules (WAPDA)

Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority issued a Notification on 20-05-2022 in connection with Amendment in Stenographer Service Rules. The details are as under:

 

Amendment in Stenographer Service Rules (WAPDA)

 

The authority in its meeting held on 15.05.2022 (minutes circulated vide Secretary WAPDA letter No. S/AD(Coord)/03003/MTG/174-15 dated 6.05.2022) has accorded approval to waive off the speed of 60 words per minute in shorthand regarding the appointment of Stenographer Grade-II by amending following in relevant Service Rules of Stenographer:-

 

Sr. No. Nomenclature of the Post Current Qualification Revised Qualification
1 Stenographer Grade-II

BPS-14

B.A / B.Sc 2nd Class from a recognized university with a minimum speed of:-

a. 60 wpm in Shorthand

b. 40 wpm in Typing Test

c. Certificate in MS Office and Internet (email) etc plus proficiency in computer usage,

Note: preference will be given to the qualification in the subjects of Mathematics, Statics, Physical, Economics, Computer Science and Political Science.

2nd Class Graduation from a recognized university and test will be conducted with the following:

a.       Proficiency in MS Office

b.      Speed I of 40 wpm in Typing

c.       Certificate in MS Office and Internet (email) etc plus proficiency in computer usage.

  1. The Pakistan WAPDA Stenographers Service Rules, 982 stands amended to the above extent.
  2. Other terms and conditions shall remain unchanged.
