The government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 18-08-2022 in connection with the Clarification Grant of Special Allowance Punjab 2022 on Running Basic Pay. On 12th Aug 2022, Accountant General Punjab sought clarification admissibility special allowance 2022 on initial pay or running basic pay. In reply to that letter, Finance Department Punjab issued a clarification.
Clarification Grant of Special Allowance Punjab 2022 on Running Basic Pay
I direct to refer to your office letter no. TM-I/2-3A(IV)/2021-22/2971, dated 12.08.2022, on the subject cited above.
The Finance Department Punjab examined the case and observed that the Finance Department’s letter No. FD.SR.V.3-1/2021, dated 20.07.2022 clearly mentions sanction of Special Allowance – 2022 @15% of Basic Pay Scales, 2017 w.e.f. 01.03.2022. now the Basic Pay Scales, 2022 Punjab Government has introduced w.e.f. 01.07.2022. therefore, the aforesaid allowance shall be admissible on Basic Pay scales, 2017 as on 30.06.2022.
According to this new Notification, Finance Department issued a clarification. As per the clarification, the employees of the Punjab Government will get the SA- 2022 @ 15% of running basic pay of the Revised Pay Scales 2017. The employees will get this SA-2022 on the Basic Pay that the employees were getting on 30-06-2022. If an employee was getting 100,000/- Basic Pay on 30-08-2022, he will get 15000/-. as Special Allowance 2022.

I have already clarified the situation of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2022 and Special Allowance 2022 Punjab on 22nd July 2022. The worry of the employee of Punjab was the admissibility of Special Allowance 2022. There was different news regarding the admissibility of the same. However, I have already given the satisfaction to the employees about a month ago. Now the Finance Department Punjab pointed out the same clarification for SA-2022 Punjab.
