Government of Pakistan Cabinet Secretariat, Cabinet Division issued a Notification on 08-11-2022 in connection with the Restoration 9th November Holiday Federal. In the same way, the Government of the Punjab, Services and General Administration issued a Notification on 08th Nov 2022 regarding a public holiday on 9th November 2022.
Restoration 9th November Holiday Federal and Punjab
DC Sialkot has already issued the Notification of a Local holiday on 9th Nov 2022 in Sialkot District. Now Punjab Government has announced the Holiday all over Punjab Province.
Federal Government Notification
In pursuance of Cabinet Division’s, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad Circular No.10-01/2021-Min-II dated 08.11.2022, it is notified for general information that 9th November 2022 (Wednesday) shall be observed as Public Holiday, on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day, throughout the Province of Punjab.
The above Notification may be published in all major English and Urdu Dailies both at the National and Regional levels, and also be given wide publicity through electronic Media.
Public Holiday in Punjab Province on 09-11-2022
In continuation of Cabinet Division’s circular No.10-01/2021-Min-II dated 17th December 2021 it is for general information that the Prime Minister is pleased to restore the public holiday on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day i.e. 9th November. Therefore, Wednesday 9th November 2022 shall be observed as a public holiday throughout the country.
The above circular may kindly be published in all major English and Urdu Dailies both at the National and Regional levels and also be given wide publicity through electronic media.
Notification of Other Provinces
We are waiting for the Notification of Public holidays on Iqbal Day in other provinces too. Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, GB, and AJ&K Governments will soon issue the Notification of the same holiday. As soon as I get the Notification of these provinces, I shall upload it here for the info of the public.
Public Holiday in KPK on the Eve of Iqbal Day
Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Government has also issued the Notification for a public holiday in the province. The Public throughout the province of KPK will observe this holiday.
