Government of Sindh, Finance Department issued a Notification on 10-11-2022 in connection with Re-Designation and Upgradation Senior Computer Operator as Senior DATA Processing Officer (BPS-17). The Notification No. No. FD(SR-II)2-22/2014/IT dated 10th November 2022 bears the subject “Up-gradation and re-Designation of the posts of SCO (BPS-16) to the Post of Senior Data Processing Officer (BPS-17)”.

According to the Notification, the Secretary to Government of Sindh, Home Department may kindly to Home Department’s letter No. HD.SO(PRS-I)/11-48/2017 dated 26-10-2022 on the subject cited above.
Administrative Department informs to examine the policy circular of Finance Department dated 10-01-2020. Wherein a maximum three years of experience require as Computer Operator / Senior Computer Operator/Data Processing Officer BPS-16 alongwith graduation. In addition to that 6 months training in Ms. Office/BCS Degree (At least 2nd Division) in order for the designated post for upgradation to the post of Senior Data Processing Officer (BPS-17) requires.
This Notification the Finance Department issued to examine the policy for the upgradation of the said posts.
The Finance Departments wrote to the Secretary to Government of Sindh, Home Department Karachi. The Department sent the same for the nesessary action/information of the concerned. Special Thanks to Mr. Khalid Hussain for sending the copy of the Notification.
Suppose someone is working in a dept. as Data Entry Operator BPS-12 and after 03 years, he was upgraded to Sr. Computer Operator BPS-16. Now can again be upgraded as Sr. Data Processing Officer in BPS-17??? Or the upgradation can only be done once?
