Creation of New Division Mianwali in Punjab

Provincial Cabinet approved the Creation of New Division Mianwali in Punjab province. Now the Punjab province will have 11 Divisions. The details are as under:

As per the latest news updates, the provincial cabinet has approved conditionally the 11th Division Mianwali in Punjab. The cabinet approved the same in the meeting held on 14th January 2023 at 5 pm.  The details of districts in the Mianwali Division will be as under:

 

Setup of Mianwali Division

 After the establishment of the Mianwali Division, there will be a reduced number of districts in the Sargodha and Rawalpindi divisions. Sargodha Division will have now only 2 districts Sargodha and Khushab. In the same way, Rawalpindi Divison will have 5 Districts as under:

 

  • Rawalpindi
  • Jhelum
  • Attock
  • Murree
  • Chakwal

 

After the actual setup of the new Division Mianwali, there will be changes in the new administrative division 2023 Punjab province. Now Punjab will have a total of 11 Divisions instead of 10 Divisions.

The meeting was held at 5 pm and as per the ARY News Channel the Punjab Provincial Cabinet approved conditionally the new Division in the last session of the cabinet.

 

Mianwali Division with Bhakkar and Talagang Districts

 

New District Jam Pur

 

As per Express News TV, the provincial cabinet also conditionally approved the new District Jampur in Dera Ghazi Khan Division. After the issuance of the Notification, DG Khan Division will have 4 Districts as under:

 

  • DG Khan District
  • Taunsa Sharif District
  • Rajanpur District
  • Rajanpur
  • Layyah
  • Muzaffar Garh
  • Jampur

 

Creation of New Tehsil in Punjab

 

The provincial cabinet also conditionally approved the following tehsils in Punjab:

 

Multan Khurd (District Talagang)

Dajal (District Jampur)

Muhammad Pur (District Jampur)

 

 

Election Commission Notice

 

The Election Commission has taken the Notice of the approval of the new division, district Jampur, and three more tehsils. ECP has strictly ordered not to issue the Notification of this new administrative setup. The reason for this is that new electoral limits ( halqa bandian) are under process.
