Government of Pakistan, Finance Division issued a Notification on 14-02-2023 in connection with the One Day Deduction Salary for Federal Employees BPS-17 and above. The details are as under:

Turkey and Syria are facing the hardest times. Thousands of people died in Earthquake. Pakistan is Helping Turkey and Syria with donations.  Everybody is contributing to this. Different organizations are raising funds. The government of Pakistan also established a fund namely Prime Minister Relief Fund for Turkiye and Syria Earthquake Victims” to extend Maximum support to Turkish.

Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Turkiye and Syria

The Government of Pakistan starts a relief program for funds for Turkiye and Syria.  The main objective is to maximize the support for the Turkish and Syrian Governments and people.  So that they can cope with the destruction which the Earthquake caused there.

The Government Of Pakistan is going to take the following steps under the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Turkiye and Syria.

Deduction of One Months Salary of Minister Of State

The Government of Pakistan will deduct the Salary of Employees.  The Government will deduct the salary of one month of the Minister of State, Adviser, and SAPMS. This Salary will be donated to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Turkiye and Syria for helping these affected counties.

Deduction of One Day’s Salary of Employees

The Government will deduct the salary of one day of the Employees.  The salary of only employees in grades BS-17 and above will be deducted.  The employees working in MP Pay Scales and other Special Government Scales shall also contribute the Salary of one day for Turkiye and Syria.

This amount of contribution shall not be included in the emoluments of the officers concerned for calculations of Income Tax and Deduction of the recovery of House Rent Charges.

All proceeds received in the name of the Fund will be credited to the Public accounts of the Federal Government under the head of the Account.
