Free Education for the Children of Industrial Workers

Punjab Government provides free education to the Children of Industrial Workers. The Workers Welfare Schools invite applications for admission. The schools shall grant admissions to the children on allocated seats only. Here are the details.

 

Totally Free Education for the Children of Industrial Workers in Punjab

 

Workers Welfare Fund provides free education to the children of Industrial Workers. The admissions are open for session 2023-24 on allocated seats. Candidates can submit applications to the Worker’s Welfare Schools. There are separate schools for students males and females. There are Primary and Higher Secondary Schools in different cities of Panjab.

The schools are situated in the following cities:

 

  • Lahore
  • Multan
  • Shaikhupura
  • Gujranwala
  • Joharabad
  • Gujrat
  • Faisalabad
  • Jhelum
  • Kasur
  • Sahiwal
  • Wazirabad
  • Sialkot
  • Nankana Sahab
  • Dera Gazi khan
  • Rahim yar Khan
  • Bahawalpur (Including Evening schools for Female Students)

 

Eligibility  Criteria for Free Education in Workers’ Welfare Schools

 

Candidates are eligible if they fulfill the following criteria:

 

  • The candidate is an Orphan, or child of any retired, disabled, or in-service industrial worker.
  • Both males and females are eligible.
  • The admissions shall be granted on a merit basis.

 

Terms and conditions

 

The terms and conditions for Industrial Workers are as under:

 

  • The worker should be the holder of social security or EOBI card.
  • The Institute of workers should be registered under the factories act 1934.
  • The Industrial Institute of the Workers should be registered under the concerned act. Or it should be paying 2% left out contribution under Workers Welfare Ordinance 1971 or 5% under Company Profit Act 1968.
  • The Worker fulfills the definition of worker under the Punjab industrial Relation act PIRA2010.
  • If Candidates don’t get admission to the allocated seat, they can apply as private.

Last  date and application procedure 

 

The last date is 20th March 2023. Candidates can submit applications along B-Form of Children and CNIC Copy of Father.

The form is available in the concerned institution for Rs.10 only. Candidates should not provide any false information in the form.
