Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a Notification on 21-02-2023 in connection with the Celebration of Jashn-e-Baharan and Cultural Day. The details are as under:
Celebration of Jashn-e-Baharan and Cultural Day
The School Education Department, Punjab is looking for a celebration of Jashn-e-Baharan and cultural day all over Punjab. SED schedules the days for extra-curricular and cultural activities. The department also sets activities such as plantation drives for planting more plants. Here are more details:
Plantation Drive in Schools by SED
The School Education Department looks more dedicated to the living environment. Hence, the Department is also conducting a plantation drive in schools under the logo “One Child One Plant”. In this regard, the schools shall engage students in paint. Each student will Plant a plant. That plant will be named after the student, who will take care of it. It is a very good and healthy activity. It will help to boost the plantation of plants and improve the environment.
Cultural Day in Punjab
The province of Punjab celebrates its cultural day on the 16th of March each year. This day is very important for the Culture of Punjab. Therefore, On this day, the schools allow the students to attend schools in their traditional/cultural clothing. This is also an important thing, because, in this way, students shall become aware of their culture.
Extra-curricular Activities in All Schools in March 2023
School Education Department asks the schools to hold different activities from 12th March 2023 to 16th March 2023. The activities on said days will be held throughout Punjab.
The schools can conduct the following type of activities:
- Flower Shows
- Cultural activities
- Debates
- Dramas
- Funfair
- Or any other suitable and formal activities
Examination Schedule
The SED asks that The activities should not interrupt the examination. The Annual Examination schedule should not suffer at all. So, the Examination schedule for the classes from 1 to 8 will remain the same. There will be no change. The Annual examination 2023 is also going to be held in March.
