I am sharing here the details of the Increase in Salaries as per Budget Speech Copy 2023-24 Federal. The Federal Government announced the budget on 9^th June 2023. There is a reasonable enhancement in the salary of Federal Govt employees.

Enhancement / Increase in Salaries as per Budget Speech Copy 2023-24 Federal

 

As per the budget speech copy the following has been announced/granted to the employees:

 

• Adhoc Relief Allowance 2023 @ 35% for BPS-01 to BPS-17 and @ 30% BPS-17 to BPS-22
• Increase in pension @ 17.5% for all pensioners
• Minimum Pension per month raised from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 12,000/-
• Minimum Wage Rates in the limits of ICT Increased from Rs. 25,000/- per month to Rs. 30,000/- per month
• EOIB Pension enhanced from Rs. 8500/- to Rs. 10000/-
• House Building Finance Corporation widows loan waived off remaining upto 10 lac amount
• CDNS martyrs deposit limits increased from 5 million to 7.5 million
• Behbood Saving Certificates limits also increased from 5 million to 7.5 million
• Increase in TA/DA Rates @ 50%
• Increase in Deputation Allowance, Current Charge and Additional Charge Allowance 12000/- to 18000/-
• Enhancement in Orderly Allowance Rs. 17500/- to 25,000/-
• Special Conveyance Allowance for Disabled @ 100% from 2000 PM to 4000 PM
• Driver Allowance for Majaz Pensioners

Demands of Employees before Budget 2203-24

 

Every year all government employees expected some increase in salaries. But this year all the employees demand to increase not only in their salaries but also in all allowances. An increasing rate of inflation is affecting the financial position of not only government employees but also private employees and retired servants.  All employees demanded to increase the following allowances with their monthly Pay.

 

1. Increase in Conveyance Allowance by up to 100%
2. Medical Allowance of up to 50%
3. House Rent Allowance of up to 100%
4. Adhoc Relief Allowance 50%
5. Increase in Salaries up to 50%
6. increase in Pension up to 30%

 

The amount of the above allowances included in current salaries is much less than the original expenses. All the employees demand an increase in the above allowances due to inflation.  The price of every commodity has risen during previous years. But there is no satisfactory increase in the monthly salaries of the employees.

 

Government Granted to Employees Budget 2023-2024

 

Pakistan is facing critical financial ups and downs in previous years. So, it is very difficult for the finance division to allocate all the resources according to the demands of employees or departments. The finance minister Worked hard in order to provide relief to all government employees as well as retired government servants.

Government increases the following as per the budget speech

 

In the previous two to three months all the government employees consistently insist on the increase of all pay and allowances keeping in view the rate of rising inflation.  Government employees are on the priority list of the government.  Therefore, the government decides to give some relief in order to reduce the pressure of rising inflation.  Moreover, the government also increases the pension of all retired servants. The following are the increased allowances:

 

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2023 Increased @ 30% to 35%

 

 

Finance Minister announces 100% increase in the Adhoc Relief Allowance of the government employees.  The allowance will be implemented at the running basic pay of the government employees.

Previous News of Salary Increase

 

According to the previous reports and sources and the cabinet meetings it was expected to increase by 20 to 30% in salaries and pension. The members of the cabinet also proposed to increase the pay and allowances of all the government servants of BPS-01 to BPS-20. There was news regarding three salary packages in Budget 2023-24 for employees. As people from every community or class lower middle are facing record pressure of inflation. So it is suggested in the previous meeting to increase the pension and salaries from 20% to 30%.

The Finance Minister of Pakistan announces the Budget 2023-24 on 9^th June 2023. He Starts his speech with the name of Allah and shares his Feelings and ideas about the budget for 2023-2024. He shares that the Department of Finance works hard to complete this budget in the best way. They all work hard and try to allocate resources in order to provide relief to all the employees working in government departments. All those employees who have already served the government (Retired Servants) are also on the priority list of the finance department. He also shares that Pakistan faces a critical financial crisis due to international forces and the rising inflation rate. He also share that there is good news for all government in-service and retired servants.

 

Finance Division Struggle

 

The Finance Division under the Ministry of Finance prepared the budget for 2023-2024.  In the previous two months, the department increased the office timing of employees who are working on the budget for 2023-24. The extended timing of the working hours is to complete the making of the budget as soon as possible. As the whole nation is expecting much more relief from the pressure of inflation. As per the request of all government regular and retired servant’s government announces the following percentage increase in salaries and pensions

 

1. 35% increase in salaries of In-service Government Employees BPS-01 to BPS-16 & 30% for BPS-17 to BPS-22
2. 17.5% increase in pension of retired Government Employees
3. 17.5% Pension for the retired Federal Govt Employees
