Amended / Revised Notification Eid-ul-Azha Holidays 2023 wef 28-06-2023

Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat issued an amended notification on 22-06-2023 in connection with Revised Notification Eid-ul-Azha 2023 Holidays wef 28 June 2023 for Federal Government employees. Now Federal Government employees will have five Eid ul Adha holidays in 2023. These holidays will start from Wednesday to Sunday. The employees will observe the holidays with effect from 28th June 2023 to 1st July 2023.

 

Revised Notification Eid-ul-Azha 2023 Holidays wef 28 June 2023

 

Before this Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division issued a Notification of Eid-ul-Azha Holidays 2023 Federal Employees on 20-06-2023. This notification mentioned holidays with effect from 29th June to 1st July 2023. Now one more holiday on Eid ul Azha added by the Federal Government.

 

The Prime Minister of Pakistan approved the schedule for the Eid-ul-Azha Holidays around the country. The Cabinet Division, Government of Pakistan issues a press release about the Eid-Ul-Azha holidays. Different schedules will be observed for offices as per working days. The details are here.

 

PM Declares Holidays Schedule for Eid-Ul-Azha

 

Prime Minister (PM) declares holidays schedule in relation to Eid-Ul-Azha. Being an Islamic State, Eid-Ul-Azha is celebrated as a national festival in Pakistan. Each year, in connection with celebrations of the Eid-Ul-Azha, Government declares National holidays in Pakistan. During the schedule,  Government and Private offices observe holidays in Pakistan. This year, the Prime Minister of Pakistan also released the schedule for off days for all government offices. There are two different types of Offices working under the Government of Pakistan. There are some offices which are working 5 days a week, whereas, some offices remain open 6 days a week. Hence, the schedule for both types of institutions is different. Here I have mentioned the schedule for the Eid-Ul-Azha vacation in relation to the type of offices.

The offices in Pakistan shall observe holidays as per above mentioned schedule. The Offices which work 6 days a week shall observe holidays for 4 days (from 28th June to 1st July). Whereas, Offices working for 5 days, shall only observe 3 days holidays (from 28th June to 30th June). All the offices have to follow the same schedule as Prime Minister issues recently. The same schedule will be published at Both the national and Regional levels in Dailies. It will also be given for publication.
