The Budget for the Economic year 2023-24 has been presented by the Government of Gilgit Baltistan. The government of Gilgit Baltistan increases different kinds of Allowances under Budget 2023-24. Increase in Allowances Budget 2023-24 Gilgit Baltistan
The government of Gilgit Baltistan announces the budget for the year 2023-24. In which, the Gilgit Baltistan Government provides relief to employees. The government keeps in view the present economical conditions of Pakistan. As the prices of essential items increase in Pakistan. The edible and household items become out of range for the employees. They can’t afford the items at high prices on such a fixed salary. It has become essential for the government to take necessary measures to provide relief to the employees. Hence in order to support its employees, the government takes steps to increase different kinds of Allowances. Which may enable the employees to manage their expenses and meet their requirements. The government of Gilgit Baltistan takes the following measures in Budget 2023-24 to order to provide relief to its employees:

Ad-hoc Relief
The government of Gilgit Baltistan enhances 35% Ad-hoc Allowance for employees of Scale (BPS-01 to BPS-16). Whereas, government increases 30% Ad-hoc Allowance for Employees in BPS-17 & Above.

Daily Allowance & Mileage Allowance
GB Govt is going to increase the Dairy Allowance & Mileage Allowance as well for the official visit and Night Stay out of Duty Station.

Special Conveyance Allowance
The government also increases the Special Conveyance Allowance for Disabled employees under the recent budget.

Uniform Allowance
The government of Gilgit Baltistan enhances the Uniform Allowance for the Uniform Staff of Prisons under Police and Excise Police. It also enhances the Uniform Allowance for Uniform Staff of Rescue 1122.

Risk Allowance
Risk Allowance for Linemen and Turbine Operators will also increase by budget 2023-24 presented by the government of Gilgit Baltistan.
The above-mentioned measures by the government of Gilgit Baltistan intend to provide relief to employees. The employees shall be able to meet their expenses. They shall be able to bear their personal and official expenses under the current measures.
Government Freezes 100% or Above Allowances
The government of Gilgit Baltistan also freezes the 100% or Above Allowances from July 2023. The Allowances which are imposed on Pay being provided shall get frozen.
