Government of Pakistan, Finance Division issued a Notification on 04-07-2023 in connection with Increase Deputation Allowance, Special Allowances, and Special Pay 2023. The details are as under:
Grant of Increase Deputation Allowance, Special Allowances, and Special Pay 2023
The Federal Government enhanced the rates of the following allowances with effect from 1st July 2023
- Special Allowance on Additional Charge of Identical Posts
- Special Allowance on Additional Charge of Non-Identical Posts
- Deputation Allowance
- Special Pay on Current Charge
The President has been pleased to sanction the revision of rates of Deputation/Additional Charge Allowance/Special Pay on Current Charge” with effect from 1st July 2023 for the civil employees of the Federal Government, paid out of civil estimates and from the Defence estimates. The rates of Deputation/Additional Charge Allowance/Special Pay on Current Charge shall be revised as follows:
As per the Notification, the approval of President of the Pakistan Finance Division Regulation Wing approves the revision of Deputation /Additional Charge Allowance/ Special Pay on Current Charge. The revision of Rates of the above-mentioned allowances are provided to the civil employees of the federal government paid out of civil estimates and from the defense estimates.
Revised Rates of Various Allowance 2023
The rates of deputation additional charge allow special pay on current charge is revised as follows:

10% to 20% Increase in Existing Rates of Allowances
As per the notification government of Pakistan approves a 10% to 20% increase in existing rates of the above-mentioned allowances. There is almost Rs.8000 increase in existing rates off mentioned allowances per month. The revised rates will be added to the monthly salaries from 1st July 2023.
20% Increase in Deputation Allowance
The government of Pakistan approves a 20% increase of the Basic pay subject to a maximum of Rs.20,000 in the deputation allowance. The existing rate of the deputation allowance isRs.12000.
10% Increase in Special Allowance on Additional Charge of Non- Identical Posts
According to the letter, the theory is a 10% increase in the special laws on additional charges of nonidentical posts. the existing The existent rate is about Rs.12000/- per month. The revised rate is a 10% increase per month which is almost Rs.20,000/-.
20% Increase in Special Allowance on Additional Charge of Identical Posts
The civil employees of the federal government will receive a 20% increase in the special allowance on additional charges of identical posts. The percentage of the allowance is increased up to 20% on the existing Rate asRs.12000/- to Rs.20,000/-.
20% increase in special pay on the current charge
The President of Pakistan approves 20% of the basic pay on a current charge with the difference of rupees 8000 from the existing rate of Rs.12000/- to Rs.20,000. The additional amount is added to the salaries to assist the civil employees.

For the Federal Government, there is also good news that Notification of Revision Special Conveyance Allowance 2023, ARA-2023 @ 35% & 30% and Ardali Allowance enhancement have been announced on 04-07-2023. Employees of provinces are also expecting the same type of Notifications especially Punjab Government employees.
