The Directorate of Education (Colleges) Lahore issued a letter on 22-05-2023 in connection with a request for the issuance of Advice Regarding the Promotion of in-Service Employees BPS-01 to BPS-08. The details are as under:

Directorate of education colleges Lahore division issues letter to the secretary of the government of Punjab services and general administration department regulation wing. The letter is about to request for issuance of advice regarding the promotion of in-service employees working in BPS-01 to BPS-08.
The promotion of in-service employees working in BPS-01 to BPS-08 is under process and still pending. In order to complete the process Director of Education Colleges Lahore Division requested the Secretary of the Government of Punjab to provide some guidelines and pieces of advice. As all the employees working under BPS-01 to BPS-08 are waiting for their promotion.
20% Quota of Employees Promotion to Junior Clerk
According to the Director of Education Colleges, the process of promotion is still under process. There is a need for guidelines and advice from the sent of Punjab Services and the General Administration Department to solve all the queries regarding this process.
Queries and Required Advice About the Promotion Criteria of In-Service Employees Working Under BPS-01 to BPS-08
The director of Education Colleges Lahore Division forwards some queries to the Secretary Government of Punjab Services And General Administration Department Regulation Wing Lahore and requests to give advice about these queries.

The director of education Lahore Division sends some queries to the Secretary Government of Punjab Services and General Administration Department about the promotional criteria of all the employees working in BPS-01 to BPS-08. He requests to provide pieces of advice about these queries in order to complete the process of promotion as soon as possible. The advice and guidelines will help to calculate the merit and determine the seniority of the employees. He also added that there is a need for complete marking criteria of consideration about the additional qualification of employees if they have any. The process of promotion is also pending due to due to lack of percentage of representation of each cadre promotion against the 20% quota of junior clerks.
In district khushab only 6 posts were reserved and vacant for 20 % in service promotion as junior clerk quota
Typing test held on 22-07-2023 and only 26 candidates passed the typing test out of 130 candidates. So DPC members without checking fitness level i.e typing speed and accuracy of typing and higher qualifications , they promote 6 most senior person’s on the basis of seniority.
