Freezing Allowances Admissible on Running Basic Pay GB

Government of Gilgit Baltistan issued a Notification on 14-07-2023 in connection with Freezing Allowances Admissible on Running Basic Pay GB. The details are as under:

 

100% or More Freezing Allowances Admissible on Running Basic Pay GB

The government of Gilgit Baltistan orders the finance department to freeze all allowances admissible on running basic pay. This rule is applicable to all government employees of the GB Government. All workers who give services in public departments fall under this rule.

         The Governor government of Gilgit Baltistan On subsequent approval of GB  assembly orders to freeze all allowances equivalent to 100% or above of running basic pay scales. These are admissible to all employees.   Pakistan consolidated fund Account pays this allowance. The finance department on the order of the GB government will freeze all these allowances from 1st, July 2023.

In order to implement this rule all competent authorities receive letters regarding this rule.

 

Stoppage of Allowances Admissible on Running Basic Pay

 

After discussion and approval of  Gilgit Baltistan, the finance department agrees to stop all allowances. It will not provide any allowance admissible on running basis pay to all employees of the GB government. The allowance is equivalent to 100% or above of running basic pay scales admissible to all employees. The finance department agrees after agreeing to check the availability of the budget.

According to the notification, all employees working in public departments of the GB government Compromise on these allowances are admissible on running basic pay. All contract employees and regular employees are also included in this policy. Finance will follow this policy the government makes decisions about de-freezes.
