Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a Notification on 03-11-2023 in connection with the Online Submission of Pension Cases / Pension Papers. The details are as under:
SED Punjab Online Submission of Pension Cases / Pension Papers
I direct to refer to the subject noted above and to state that the competent Authority has desired to make a live e-pension system in District Attock, Gujranwala, M.B. Din, Hafizabad & Bahawalpur w.e.f. 15.11.2023 (Wednesday). Accordingly, your nominated focal person on e-pension has been trained on 02.11.2023.
- I am, therefore, directed to convey that after 15.11.2023, no fresh pension case from Districts Attock, Gujranwala, M.B. Din, Hafizabad & Bahawalpur shall be submitted to this department manually and all pension cases will be submitted online.
- I am further directed to request the CEOs(DEAs), Attock, Gujranwala, M.B. Din, Hafizabad & Bahawalpur to ensure the submission of applications for e-pension of the employees/officers who have retired recently or are about to retire.
- For any assistance in this regard, the office of the undersigned may be contacted.
List of Districts with Deadline
Initially, the School Education Department has given a deadline for five districts of the Punjab Province. The five district accounts offices will submit online pension forms/ pension documents/papers instead of manual. The department will not accept the manual cases of pension after 15th November 2023 for the following districts of Punjab:
- Attock
- Gujranwala
- Mandi Baha ud Din
- Hafizabad
- Bahawalpur
The online pension procedure is very safe and requires a little effort from the concerned offices. There is a not of wastage of papers. In the manual pension system, you see that there is a bundle of papers and files. To fill out all the forms and handle all the files for a person is very difficult. Now the employees /pensioners will have a speedy pension payment.
