Revised Schedule of Winter Vacation (Holidays) 2023 Punjab

Punjab Government has issued the Revised Schedule of Winter Vacation (Holidays) 2023 Punjab Government and Private Schools. As per the previous schedule, the holidays were to commence during the last decade of the month of December 2023. Now as per the new schedule of winter holidays 2023 Punjab, these will start from 18th December 2023. The holidays will last till 1st January 2024. The details are as under:

End of Vacation 1st January 2023 (Monday)

CM Punjab Mr. Mohsin Navi Statement

 

The statement on Twitter of Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Mohsin Navi is as under:

 

“We held a meeting with experts and govt officials today addressing the SMOG challenge in Punjab. With an improved Air Quality Index (AQI), no restrictions are planned for the upcoming weekend. Additionally, winter vacations for children will commence from Dec 18, 2023, to Jan 1, 2024.”

 

School teachers and students in Punjab are expecting the holidays in Punjab early due to smog but the government of Punjab has clarified that Opening of schools in Punjab on Friday and Saturday. If the report about the condition of the bad weather the Government receive it will decide about any holiday. Still, no such plan as the weather is clear.

 

Chief Minister Punjab Announes Winter Holidays 2023

 

Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi discussed with this expert and official in his latest meeting. The chief minister discussed announcing the winter vacations for the children. The members of the meeting unanimously approve to commence the winter vacations in the Punjab from December 18 2023 till 1st January 2024. The government announces two weeks of holidays or winter vacations for all educational institutions in the Punjab. The decision will be implemented in all public and private schools and colleges.  And other institutions which are registered under the government of Punjab. There will be no educational or instructional activity during these two weeks of vacation.

The teaching and non-teaching staff will also enjoy these holidays with their families. Except those who received two get checks and balances during these holidays in the institutions. Teaching staff will also give Sam homework and other assignments to the children or learners.

 

Less SMOG and Improved Air Quality

 

In addition to it, the members also put forward the challenges of SMOG in the whole province. The agenda of the meeting is also discussing the effects and percentage of SMOG in the province.  They discussed the small challenges in the whole province of Punjab. The experts and government officials addressed that there are no limitations planned for the upcoming weekend. As the air quality index is improving. The effects and the percentage of SMOG get minimized. Previously due to the high percentage of effects of small the government announces Friday and Saturday as holidays in most affected districts of Punjab. The experts kept a keen eye on its effects and challenges and its percentage. But now due to AQI, there are no restrictions Government is going to plan for the next further days. But, still, teachers and all students must wear masks to be safe.

 

Notification of Winter Holidays 2023 SED Punjab

 

The School Education Department also issued the Notification of Winter Holidays 2023 in Punjab Government Educational Institutions. The notification verifies the statement of the CM Punjab.
