The Chief Minister Punjab has announced the Election Holidays 2024 (Punjab) wef 6^th Feb 2024 to 9^th Feb 2024. According to the Punjab Cabinet approval, all colleges, schools, and universities in Punjab will remain closed for 6 days. The details are as under:

Election Holidays 2024 (Punjab) wef 6th Feb 2024 to 9th Feb 2024

There are 4 election holidays with effect from 6^th February 2024 to 9^th February 2024. However, the employees have also the Kashmir Solidarity Day Holiday on 5^th February 2024, and before it a Sunday holiday. Thus they will have a total of 6 holidays. The employees engaged in election duty will perform their duties as per the ECP orders. Other employees whom the ECP has not engaged in Election duty will observe the following holidays. The schools, colleges, and universities in Punjab will remain closed for the below schedule:

The Federal Government has not yet announced the election holidays. If the Federal Government adopts the above schedule, then the Federal Government employees will have 9 holidays starting from Saturday, 3^rd February to 11^th February Sunday. Just wait for the Federal Government, Sindh, Balochistan, and KPK Government notifications.

“Important Update: In view of the upcoming general elections on 8th February, the Provincial Cabinet has approved that all public and private sector schools, colleges, and universities in Punjab will be closed from Feb 6th to Feb 9th. 9:30 am timing for schools will only be observed till 3rd February. Regular school timings will be observed later on.”
