Notification Lifting of Ban on Transfer Posting and Recruitment 2024 by ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan issued a Notification on 04-03-2024 in connection with the Lifting of the Ban on Transfer Posting and Recruitment for all Governments. These Governments include Federal, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Balochistan and Sindh. The ECP earlier issued a Notification regarding imposing a ban on Transfer/Posting and Recruitment due to the General Election 2024.

No.F.2(1)/2023-Elec-I- Vol-II Whereas as per article 218 (3) of the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. the election commission must organize and conduct the election and make such arrangements as are accord necessary to ensure that the election is conducted honestly, justified fairly, and per law, and that corrupt practices are guarded against

Whereas, the election commission imposed a ban on all posting/transfer r implementation of development schemes, and recruitment during the period of caretaker governments:

Whereas in terms of selection 5(4) 8(C) and 230 of the Elections Act 2017 the caretaker government is bound not to post/transfer an officer/official without prior approval of the election commission except where any express delegation has been according by the commission:

And Whereas after the general election of 2024, the elected government has assumed officer

NOW, therefore after the completion of the tenure of the caretaker government, it is hereby declared that all restrictions or bans imposed on posting/transfer development schemes, and recruitment are hereby lifted henceforth the elected government shall regulate Therese’s affairs  By order of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
