Government of the Punjab, Services and General Administration Department issued a Notification on 22-04-2024 in connection with a Local Holiday on 23 April 2024 in Lahore. Punjab Govt announced this holiday due to the visit of foreign delegations. The details of the local holiday in Lahore are as follows:

In view of the visit of Foreign Dignitaries and to avoid the consequent inconvenience to the general public, the 23rd of April 2024 (Tuesday) is hereby declared as a Local Holiday in the Lahore district.
The holiday will be observed in the district of Lahore and its subordinate offices. However, this notification does not apply to the offices of the Punjab Civil Secretariat, its attached departments, and regional offices.
This holiday is only an occasional holiday and the List of Public and Optional Holidays 2024 in Pakistan does not cover it. So the local holiday only depends on the local administration of the district. Every district administration can make this session of a local holiday keeping in view the situation.
