As per the press conference of the provincial transport minister of Punjab, the Punjab Government has decided to give e-bikes to All Applicant Female Students in Punjab. Now as per the Punjab Govt statement, the female more than 8000 female students will get electronic bikes.

Provision of e-bikes to All Applicant Female Students in Punjab

The Punjab Government Department of Transport has completed the balloting of motorbikes for students in Punjab. There were 19000 petrol bikes and 1000 electric bikes. The Punjab government has received more than 8000 applications from female students only for e-bikes. Keeping in view the interest of students in e-bikes, the Punjab Government made decision to provide all female applicants for e-bikes. The Government if the Punajh has already started the process for Online Applications for Motor Bikes for Students in April 2024.

• The CM Punjab has issued instructions for the provision of better-traveling facilities to the Public
• Nearly 1 lac ninety thousand students applied for the motorbikes.
• The balloting of bikes was held on 11^th May 2024.
• In this bike scheme, there were 1000 e-bikes and 19,000 petrol bikes.
• More than eight thousand female students applied for e-bikes.
• The Chief Minister of Punjab has made a good change for the female students.
• The CM Punjab has announced to give e-bikes to all the 8039 female applicants.
• The government of Punjab is starting 27 e-busses too in Lahore.

Demand from Governent

It is a good step for the Government of Punjab. The government of Punjab should also launch the e-bikes scheme for Government employees in Punjab. The Punjab Government has already announced e-bikes for government employees in Punjab. However, the Government has not yet issued the process for the same. The Punjab Government has announced this scheme 2 times previously. However, the employees are expecting this time government will fulfill their statement. In addition, the Government should also start bus services where there are wide roads in cities. There is also a need to start bus services in Rural to Urban areas for students.
