Government of Pakistan has announced a Public Holiday on 28 May 2024 in Pakistan. As per the news of Daily Dunya at 5:50 pm, the Government of Pakistan has decided to announce 28-05-2024 as a general holiday.
Youm-e-Takbeer Public Holiday on 28 May 2024 in Pakistan
On 28th May 1998, Pakistan made atomic blast tests at the place of Chaghi Balochistan. Pakstan performed test at Ras Kph Hills. Pakistan did the nuclear tests in response to Indian nuclear tests. All the people who suggested this name were given the Prime Minister Award. Youm-e-Takbir here can be translated to “The day of greatness” or “The day of God’s greatness”.
Pakistan Govt gave this day as Youme-e-Takbeer.To celebrate this occasion, Govt of Pakistan has decided this year to celebrate this day publically and announced a general holiday on 28 May 2024. During previous years, the Government celebrated this day only officially but no holiday. This is the first time, the government has announced a general holiday on this day.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a general holiday on Youm-e-Takbeer falling on May 28 (tomorrow) to mark the historic day when Pakistan conducted successful nuclear tests in the hills of Chaghai in 1998.
As per the Notification, there will be a general holiday on Tuesday (28-05-2024) all over Pakistan. Nearly all media channels shared this news.
