I am sharing the Punjab Employees Salary Increase as per Budget Speech 2024-25. As per the speech of Finance Minister Punjab, the Government has approved 20% to 25% salary for Government employees. In the same way, there is approval of a 15% increase in pension.

Punjab Employees Salary Increase as per Budget Speech 2024-25

The Finance Minister Punjab presented the Budget on 13-06-2204 for the financial year 2024-2025. As per the speech of the Finance Minister of Punjab announced the salary increase and pension raise for the employees and pensioners. The following have been approved as below:

Packages for Employees and Workers in Punjab

Adhoc Relief Allowance @ 20% for BPS-17 and above employees

Adhoc Relief Allowance @ 25% for BPS-01 to BPS-16 employees

Pension increase @ 15% of their existing pension minus medical allowance

Minimum wage rates Rs. 37,000/- per month

Other Governments Salary

The Federal Government also announced the same package for the employees. There is a reasonable salary increase as per Salary Increase Chart 2024-25 as per Budget Speech 2024 Federal Government employees. They will get the enhancement in their salaries with effect from 1^st July 2024. However, there is also an increase in income tax for Government employees. There is no tax still on pensions for pensioners. The Sindh Government will announce the budget on 14 June 2024. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government announced only 10% of salary for KPK Employees 2024-25. There are chances that the KP Government will also increase the salaries of their employees as par with the Federal Government. So we have to wait for the Notification of the salary increase in 2024 for KP employees.

Punjab Government Employees and Salaries

The Punjab Government announced the above-said package for the employees and pensioners, it will give relief to the employees and pensioners to some extent. It is far better if the Government announces 10% or 15%. It would be better if the Government enhanced their medical allowance, conveyance allowance, and house rent allowance. They are paying much HRA as compared to the House Rent Allowance they are getting with their salary. In the same way, they also pay many conveyance charges as compared to their Conveyance Allowance. So is the case with their Medical allowance and medical expenses.
