I am sharing the temporary Pension Calculator 2024-25 for Pensioners Retired on or After 1^st July 2024 . The government has not yet finalized the revised pension scheme for 2024. So just for your information if the Government does not implement the new pension amendments, we can check the pension and commute/gratuity. we shall calculate pension and gratuity on the basis of the Notification increase in pension 2024 Federal pensioners. Details are as follows:

Pension Calculator 2024-25 for Pensioners (Temporary)

I have prepared a temporary pension calculation sheet for the pensioners who retired on 1^st July 2024. They can just make an estimate of their pension on the basis of previous rates and pension calculation formula. The pension calculator is simple. The employee/pensioner is to fill just the following three entries in cells:

• Basic Pay at the Time of Retirement
• Total Length of Service
• Age Rate

Basic Pay at the Time of Retirement

The Basic Pay at the time of retirement also includes Personal Pay (PP) that the Government employee gets beyond the last stage of the specific basic pay scale. The employees of BPS-01 to BPS-16 have 30 stages of their respective pay scale numbers. If their pay crosses from 30 stages due to annual increments or other reasons, it will be classed as Personal Pay (PP).

If the employee retires on or after 1^st June of a year he will get an extra increment that is called Usual Increment. The usual increment is also counted /added for pension purposes only. The employee on retirement will not get benefits from the Usual Increment for TA/DA purposes or Farewell Grants.

Total Length of Service

The total length of service is the regular service during which the employee gets a salary. The service of EOL (Extra Ordinary Leave) is not counted as the length of service for pension purposes. If the employee has more than 6 months of service then the full year shall count. If the service is less than 6 months then we ll ignore this figure.

Age Rate

I have given the age rate calculator on the calculator sheet (Calculator). You can simply get the age rate for every year of service. If the service is even a single day more than a year then we shall take it a full year for age rate purposes.

Pension Reforms/ Pension Amendments 2024

There are under process different proposals for the previous Government employees. But still not finalized by the Government. There are some news that pension will be calculated on the average pay of the last 24 months’ basic pay. There is also another news that it may be 36 months of average basic pay. In addition to that, there is also news of a change in the pension formula. So before any change in the formula or basic pay, we just calculate the pension on the previous rates.
