Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 12-07-2024 in connection with Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 Punjab Employees. As per the Notification, the BPS-01 to BPS-16 employees will get ARA-2024 @ 25% while the BPS-17 and above employees will get ARA-2024 @ 20%. They will get the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 with effect from 1st July 2024. The details are as follows:
Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 Punjab Employees @ 25% and 20%
I am directed to state that the Governor of Punjab has been pleased to sanction an Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 with effect from 1st July 2024 and till further orders to all the Civil Servants of the Punjab Government and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms & conditions of contract appointment as under:-
- BS-1 to BS-16 25% of Running Basic Pay
- BS-17 to BS-22 20% of Running Basic Pay
The Adhoc Relief Allowance – 2024 will be admissible subject to the following conditions:-
- i) Be subject to income Tax.
- ii) Be admissible during leave and the entire period of LPR except for extraordinary leave (Leave Without Pay).
- Not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension/gratuity and recovery of House Rent.
- No be admissible to the civil servants during the tenure of their posting on deputation.
- Be admissible to the civil servants on their repatriation from posting on deputation at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted deputation.
Federal Employees
The Federal Government also issued the Notification Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 Federal at the same rates as the Punjab Government announced. The Punjab Government also issued a Notification of pension for 2024-25 for the pensioners of Punjab. Punjab Government increased the pension @ 15% as the Federal Government notified to same rates.
