The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan GB Secretariat Finance Department issued a Notification on 19-07-2024 in connection with Notification ARA 2024 BPS-01 to BPS-22 Govt Employees GB. The employees of GB will get the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 @ 25% and 20% with effect from 1st July 2024. The details are as follows:

Fin Ref 1(3)/2024-25: Consequent upon the approval of the Gilgit-Balitistan Assembly and as authenticated by the Governor Gilgit-Balitistan. The Government of Gilgit-Balitistan pleases to sanction with effect from 1st July 2024 and till further orders, an Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024/ This allowance is for the civil employees of the Gilgit-Balitistan Government. This list also includes contract employees employed against civil posts in basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment. The rate of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 is as under:

The employees on thir repatriation form posting /deputation abroad will not get this allowance at the rate and amount that would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad.
The employees during the period of suspension will not get this Ad-hoc Relief allowance.
Government employees will get this allowance during the leave and tenure period of LPR except during extra-ordinary leave (EOL).
The terms “ Basic Pay” for the purpose of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 will also include the amount of the personal pay (PP) granted on account of annual increments(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scale.
The above Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation rot h ear 2024-25 by the respective Secretariats / Departement and no supplementary grants would be given on this account.
