Finance Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued a Notification on 23-07-2024 in connection with Pension Increase 2024 KP Pensioners. The KP Government increased the pension of provincial pensioners @ 15% of their net pension. They will get the increase in pension with effect from 1^st July 224.

Pension Increase 2024 KP Pensioners

No.FDSO(SR-II)2-4/2024/Pension the Provincial Government has been pleased to sanction an increase @ 15% of net pension with effect from 1^st July 2024 and until further order to all the Pensioners of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This 15% increase in pension as mentioned in para-1 above will also be admissible to the Pensioners who will retire on or after 01-07-2024.

For the purpose of admissibility of increase in pensions sectioned in this notification the term “Net Pension” means “Pension Being drawn” minus “Medical Allowance”.

Family Pension Increase

The increase will also be admissible on a family pension granted under the Pension-Cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954, Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977, on a pension sectioned under the Provincial Civil Servants Pension Rules (Extra Ordinary Pension) as well as the Compassionate Allowance.

Sharing of Pension

If the gross pension sectioned by the Provincial Government is shared with any other Government in accordance with the rules laid down in part-iv of Appendix-III to the Accounts Cove, Volume-I, the amount of the increase in pension will be apportioned between the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the other Government concerned, on proportionate.

Special Additional Pensions

The increase in pensions sanctioned in this notification will not be admissible on special additional pensions allowed in lieu of pre-retirement orderly allowance.

The benefit of the increase in pension sectioned vides this notification will also be admissible to those Pensioners of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who are residing aboard (other than residing in India and Bangladesh ) who retired on or after 15-08-1947 and are not entitled to, or not in receipt of pension increase under the British Government Pension (increase) Acts. The payment will be paid at the applicable rate of exchange.
